Caroline Older is a fundraising consultant with more than 25 years of experience helping organizations build the financial and operational foundation they need to thrive. She brings a rare combination of executive leadership, grantmaking, and hands-on fundraising experience, and a track record of guiding organizations through pivotal moments, from growth and transformation to mergers and thoughtful closures.

Before joining TWB Fundraising, Caroline served as executive director at the Chicago Artists Coalition and the Arts Council of Greater Grand Rapids, where she led strategic planning, major gifts programs, capital campaigns, and board development. Her 8+ years as a grantmaker give her an unusually clear view of what funders look for and how organizations can position themselves to succeed.

Caroline works with nonprofits of all sizes across the arts and culture, health, human services, and higher-ed sectors, delivering solutions that are practical, tailored, and built for the long term. Her TWB services include campaign feasibility studies, campaign counsel, major gift program development, development and operations assessments, strategic planning, executive search, interim staffing, and board trainings.

Her recent clients include a private family foundation, Meals on Wheels for Northern Illinois, Pillars Community Health, Children’s Discovery Museum, FACETS, Born Free USA, and Experimental Station — a range that reflects her ability to meet organizations wherever they are.

Caroline holds a BA in Art History from Williams College and a PhD in the History of Art and Architecture from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She is based in Southeast Michigan, where she is building TWB’s presence across Metropolitan Detroit.
