Who We Are

 

Heidi Waltner-Pepper, Vice President

Heidi Waltner-Pepper brings over 20 years experience in the nonprofit sector focusing primarily on fundraising, marketing and management for small to mid-size organizations. She has extensive experience in developing fundraising programs from their infancy
and building them into thriving and successful operations.

Prior to joining Ter Molen Watkins & Brandt, her experiences included working in public broadcasting, serving as Executive Director and Chief Development Officer for the Big Shoulders Fund, a non-profit organization that supports inner-city Catholic schools in Chicago, and more recently as Director of Development for the Robert Crown Center for Health Education. During her tenure at Big Shoulders, she developed the Patron’s Program, one of the organization’s most successful major gift initiatives raising more than $18 million since
its founding. In addition, she oversaw annual grant distribution between $10 and $14 million to approximately 100 elementary and secondary Catholic schools. During this time she worked with a
150-member board of directors and led the organization in a
strategic planning effort.

Heidi has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of South Dakota and a Master’s Degree in Arts Administration from the University of Illinois. She is also a member of Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) and is a 1998 alumna of the Development Leadership Consortium. Heidi’s past volunteer work includes serving on the Business & Education Committee of the West Suburban Chamber of Commerce, the AFP Peer Mentoring Committee and the Illinois Federation of Music Teachers.
